~ Rose Bouquet ~
From May 98 "Mothers Day" pattern set.
This free standing panel contains 150 individual pieces
of glass. The Background consists of a rose glue chip which works
well with the opaque outer border. Flowers are cut from various
shades of pinks from different art glass manufacturers. Kokomo
green for the semi-transparent leaves gives a finishing touch.

~ Lobster Cabinet ~
Custom pattern
Lobster fishing and family heritage inspired the creation
of this kitchen cabinet door panel. A blend of earth tones compliment
the red used in the lobster and the oak frame. Keeping a traditional
look for stained glass with the use of a lobster was achieved
by adding a victorian flow of the antennas and chips that break
up the background.

~ Underwater Scene ~
Custom pattern
Underwater scene of the North Atlantic. Amongst the
various items on display in this stained glass porthole to the
deep include an anchor, lobster trap, lobster, starfish, crab,
& fish with stationary and plated sea grass. Difficult to
see here but plating is commonly used to give a 3-dimensional
effect to stained glass by adding layers to the back and sometimes
front of the window. Many Tiffany windows used this technique
especially in the landscape panels.

Panels (3of) combine to display this original glass
artwork created by Somers Designs of Long Island NY.
Residential installation is on the north shore of
LI overlooking Huntington Bay.Glass used is amongst the finest
available today and along with staying in the clients request
for hues of lavender and deep blues this panel was more than
just a construction challenge.
